Project Description and Objectives:
The project aims at facilitating transportation of passengers and goods from and
to the central western regions of Burkina Faso to contribute to the development
of its villages and cities and the advancement of their economic and social
growth. The project shall also facilitate the development of commercial exchange
between Burkina Faso and the Republic of Mali through connecting the axis of the
project with another axis connecting between Burkina Faso and Mali,s borders.
The project includes the following components:
a. Provision of civil works for the construction and pavement of a
130 km length road, building 3 bridges, construction of water drainage
facilities, safety and traffic signs and the relevant works.
b. Provision of consultancy services and supervision on the works of
the project.
c. Institutional support for the project implementation unit.
d. Financial monitoring of the project including control and auditing
of accounting documents.
e. Acquisition of lands for the expansion of the road and
compensation of the citizens. |
