Project Description and Objectives:
The project aims at connecting the Fogo's villages and the port and airport
of São Filipe city and facilitates the traffic movement of people and goods
between the different regions of the island which will contribute to the
development of its villages and cities and their socio-economic growth. The
project includes the expansion and pavement of a ring road of a total length of
80.60 km.
The project is divided into three parts to be implemented in two phases. The
first phase will include the first and third sections while the second phase
will include the second section as follows:
First section: Connects Sao Filipe and Mosteiros with a length of
37.70 km.
Second section: Connects Mosteiros and Cova Figueira with a length of
17.40 km.
Third section: Connects Cova Figueira and São Filipe with a length of
25.50 km. |
