Project Description and Objectives:
The project aims connecting the southern region of the country with the road
network in the central region. The project shall contribute to facilitating the
transportation of agricultural products to the distribution and export centers
at the center of the country. In addition, it shall facilitate the movement of
villagers living on its sides to and from administrative and social centers at
the center of the country. This shall support the development programs at the
southern region of Malawi. The length of Thyolo – Bangula road is 91 km and its
width is 6.70m.
The project consists of the following components:
a. Civil works which include building the road.
b. Consultancy services and supervision on carrying out the civil
works of the project.
