Project Description and Objectives:
       
The project aims at facilitating goods transportation between Atar (capital of Adrar northern Province) and Tidjikdja cities (capital of southern Tagant Province), putting an end to the isolation of the villages and areas around the project which is 340 km in length. It connects the northern part of the country with the southern part without passing by the capital. The project includes the following components:
    a .Civil works that include preparatory and earth fill works, excavation, pavement and asphalting, water drainage and small sub-roads.
    b. Consultancy services including the preparation of studies, designs, bid documents and the supervision on implementation.
    c. Support of maintenance works by providing the National Company for Road Maintenance with the necessary equipment for maintenance and training staff.
    d. Provision of institutional support including the support of the implementation unit by providing the necessary qualified staff to perform the works and providing equipment, machinery and means of transportation in addition to enhancing the Transportation Infrastructure Directorate by providing it with the necessary equipment, machinery and training its employees.
