Sectoral Distribution of the SFD’s Loans
 

 

     During 2009, the SFD contributed SR. 1984.50 million to finance 21 developmental projects. The transportation and communication sector received the largest share, both in terms of the number of projects as well as the total value of the loans. 9 transportation and communication projects were financed, with a total amount of SR. 786.25 million, this accounted for 39.62% of the grand total and SR. 405.00 million was allocated to finance 5 agriculture projects which account for 20.41% of the grand total. In the energy sector, SR. 300.00 million was allocated to finance one project which accounted for 15.12% of the grand total. In the social infrastructure sector, SR. 293.25 million was allocated to finance 5 projects which accounted for 14.78% of the grand total. In the Industry and Mining sector, SR. 200.00 million was allocated to finance one project which accounted for 10.07% of the grand total. See the table below for complete details.
