Riyadh, December 11, 2025: The Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) concluded its participation in the MOMENTUM 2025 Development Finance Conference, organized by the National Development Fund (NDF) under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Prime Minister, and Chairman of the NDF Board of Directors. The conference took place from December 9–11 at the King Abdulaziz International Centre in Riyadh.
The third day of the conference spotlighted the SFD, showcasing its global development role and its efforts to strengthen international partnerships that advance sustainable prosperity. His Excellency Ahmed bin Aqeel Al-Khatib, Chairman of the SFD Board of Directors, attended the opening ceremony and took part in a dialogue session titled “The Efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Comprehensive International Development.” He outlined the Fund’s contributions to sustainable international development and reaffirmed its commitment to financing development projects and programs in developing and least developed countries worldwide.
H.E. Mr. Al-Khatib also delivered a welcoming address to distinguished guests, senior officials from international organizations and UN agencies, and participants from across the globe. He underscored the Fund’s achievements in more than 100 developing countries and its impact in advancing economic and social growth through the programs and initiatives it finances.
In addition to a dialogue session on the opening day, the Fund hosted several in-depth discussions on the third day with renowned global experts. These sessions aimed to align efforts toward achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, enhance the efficiency of financial resources, improve the quality of life, and build greater resilience to future development challenges.
On the sidelines of the conference, the SFD signed five development memoranda of understanding with Imam Muhammad ibn Saud Islamic University, the Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition, the Green Middle East Initiative, the Saudi Agricultural and Livestock Investment Company (SALIC), and the Arab Urban Development Institute. These agreements aim to expand international cooperation and support sustainable economic and social development, enabling new opportunities, strategic partnerships, and integrated frameworks for joint development projects.
Throughout the conference, the SFD presented an interactive pavilion showcasing its achievements in financing and supporting development initiatives. The pavilion highlighted transformative development stories and their far-reaching impact, emphasizing the Fund’s role in fostering socio-economic growth, empowering communities, enhancing capabilities, and creating vital opportunities for beneficiaries.
