CEO of the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) Sultan Abdulrahman Al-Marshad met with Republic of Guinea Minister of Cooperation and African Integration, Amadou Thierno Diallo at SFD’s head office in Riyadh, together with the Guinean Ambassador to the Kingdom, Mahmoud Nabhani Sharif and the Political Adviser at the Embassy of Guinea, Mohamed Kanfori Benqoura.

During the meeting, joint cooperation, mutual relations, and development updates on projects currently financed by the SFD in Guinea were discussed.

Amadou Thierno Diallo extended his thanks to the Kingdom’s government for its ongoing contribution and support, through SFD, to a range of development projects in Guinea.

CEO of SFD praised the strong bilateral relations between the two countries and the importance of the Kingdom’s ongoing contribution provided by SFD to development projects in Guinea since it gained independence.

Saudi Arabia, represented by SFD, has provided three grants through the Saudi Program for Well Drilling and Rural Development to develop Guinea’s water sector.  The SFD has also provided loans to finance and implement 16 projects across other vital sectors.

The SFD is one of the largest contributors to sustainable development aid. It plays a key role in providing financial and technical assistance to development projects across the world. Since it was established in 1975 it has been committed to building stability, prosperity and providing socio-economic support to developing nations, in line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 goals.
