The Saud Fund for Development (SFD)’s CEO, Sultan bin Abdulrahman Al-Marshad, today received at his office in Riyadh the Kingdom’s newly appointed the Republic of the Union of Myanmar Saud bin Abdullah Al-Subaie, on the occasion of his appointment.
During the meeting, AlSubaie was briefed on the SFD development efforts in developing countries, and the projects and programs financed by the SFD in the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, which would contribute to achieving the sustainable development goals.
Since its inception, SFD provided a development loan to the Union of Myanmar with the aim of financing the water and agricultural sectors, in addition to that , a grant provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through SFD and in cooperation with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in establishing safe housing inside Myanmar and rehabilitation centers for Rohingya refugees outside Myanmar.
