CEO of the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) Sultan bin Abdulrahman Al-Marshad met here today with Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania Sidi Ali Ould Sidi Ali.

During the meeting, they discussed issues of common interest, and the development projects provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's government through the SFD, which aim to contribute to achieving sustainable development in the Islamic Republic of Mauritania. They also discussed the challenges facing the progress of development work.

The Ambassador of Mauritania expressed his gratitude for the efforts exerted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, through the SFD, to support the friendly countries through the development projects.

Saudi Arabia, through SFD, provided 10 grants to implement projects in the health, infrastructure, education and water sectors in Mauritania. Since its inception, SFD provided 18 loans to complete 16 projects in the countries.
