The Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) CEO, Mr. Sultan bin Abdulrahman Al-Marshad, received today at SFD headquarters in Riyadh, the International Finance Corporation (IFC) regional Vice President for the Middle East and Central Asia in the World Bank Group, Ms. Hela Cheikhrouhou.
Mr. Al-Marshad welcomed Ms. Cheikhrouhou during her visit to SFD, and during the meeting, topics of common interest were discussed, and the development activities and programs financed by SFD in developing countries were highlighted.
Ms. Cheikhrouhou expressed her sincere appreciation and gratitude to the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the development efforts provided to developing countries through SFD, noting that the projects and programs supported by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through SFD contribute to the development of infrastructure and basic services for the beneficiary communities, as they have a positive and tangible impact on the life of the beneficiaries.
It is worth noting that the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) has endeavored for about 48 years to support development projects in developing countries; these projects are made in various vital sectors to contribute to achieving economic and social growth in those countries, in order to improve the standard of living of communities, to support the least developed and poorest countries. SFD works to finance projects to achieve sustainable development goals and enhance the effectiveness of development aid through partnership and cooperation with regional and international organizations.
