 The CEO of the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD), Mr. Sultan Abdulrahman Al-Marshad, met with the President of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), Mr. Masatsugu Asakawa, at ADB headquarters in Manila, to discuss international cooperation between the two organizations.

During the meeting, the two parties reviewed SFD-funded development projects in developing nations in Asia and worldwide, underscoring SFD’s commitment to making significant contributions to sustainable development.

SFD and ADB also discussed the 3-day Knowledge and Experience Exchange Program between the two sides. The program seeks to enhance development cooperation by exchanging experiences, expertise, and the latest tools and means to achieve sustainable development.

SFD CEO emphasized the importance of building partnerships with international donors as coordinating efforts maximizes the positive development impacts on beneficiaries - especially in light of the global economic crises.

The SFD delegation reviewed ADB’s operations, discussing cooperation and partnership opportunities between the two parties.

Since 1975, the Saudi Fund for Development has funded 265 development projects and programs across Asia, worth more than $7.3 billion. The funded projects span a diverse range of sectors, including, among others, education, health, water, housing, energy, and agriculture.
