Sultan bin Abdulrahman Al-Marshad, the CEO of the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD), received the Deputy Minister of Industry and Commerce of Mozambique, Ludovina Bernardo, and her accompanying delegation today.

The meeting took place at the SFD headquarters in Riyadh, where the two sides discussed the development projects and programs funded by the SFD in various sectors in the Republic of Mozambique and their areas of development cooperation.

Bernardo commended the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's development efforts through the SFD in funding projects and programs in Mozambique. She emphasized that these initiatives contribute to the social and economic development of the Mozambican people and the achievement of sustainable development goals.

During an introductory tour of the SFD exhibition, the minister's delegation had the opportunity to observe the SFD-funded development projects and programs in 84 developing countries worldwide, including Mozambique. They also witnessed the role of these projects in fostering social well-being and prosperity among the beneficiaries.

Since 2011, the SFD has financed four development projects and programs in Mozambique, costing approximately USD 46 million. These projects have been instrumental in developing the education, health, and energy sectors.
