CEO of the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) Sultan bin Abdulrahman Al-Marshad, at the SFD headquarters today, received Minister of Planning and International Cooperation of Guinea Rose Pola Pricemou and her accompanying delegation.


Al-Marshad welcomed the minister and her accompanying delegation to the SFD headquarters, and both sides discussed existing development projects financed by the fund in Guinea, where these schemes contribute to realizing sustainable development. They also went over possible vital and development opportunities in Guinea.


The visit included a tour of the interactive exhibition at the SFD headquarters to check on the fund's most prominent development projects in various developing countries around the world and their sustainable development impact on beneficiaries, social growth and economic prosperity in those countries.


Development cooperation between the SFD and Guinea began in 1977, with the fund providing development loans to contribute to financing and implementing 16 development projects and programs in the transport, energy, education, health and water sectors with a value exceeding $302 million. Through the fund, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has also allocated three grants totaling $18 million to the Saudi Program for Digging Wells and Rural Development in Africa during the implementation's third, fourth and fifth phases.
