Kyrgyz Republic President Sadyr Japarov received Monday at his residence in Riyadh Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) Chief Executive Sultan Abdulrahman Al-Marshad and his accompanying delegation.
The meeting, on the sidelines of the Extraordinary Arab and Islamic Summit, also was attended by Saudi Ambassador to the Kyrgyz Republic Ibrahim Al-Radi.
During the meeting, they reviewed development projects and programs funded by the SFD in various vital sectors in Kyrgyzstan.
Meanwhile, Maldives President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu
also received the SFD chief in Riyadh on the sidelines of the summit.
During the meeting, the development activities provided by the SFD in the Maldives were reviewed, along with the impact achieved by the projects and programs funded by the fund in the country.
Since 2011, the SFD has provided financing for the implementation of eight development projects and programs through concessional loans amounting to $200 million, in addition to a generous grant from the Kingdom's government through the fund valued at approximately $3.8 million.
Since 1978, the SFD has financed the implementation of 14 development projects and programs in Kyrgyzstan and the Maldives through concessional loans totaling over $488 million, contributing to social growth and economic prosperity in both countries.
