Riyadh, October 14.2021:
The Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) has received the international information security Standard ISO 27001 in Information Security Management System (ISMS), in cooperation with King Abdullah Institute for Research and Consulting Studies.
A representative of Resource Company Inspections Canada Incorporated (RICI) which carried out the accreditation presented the certification at an official ceremony held at SFD’s Head Office in Riyadh.
SFD CEO Sultan Abdulrahman Al-Marshad welcomed the development, “Receiving the certification recognizes the SFD’s commitment to meeting international information security standards in implementing ISMS to protect organizational data and ensure confidentiality, integrity and availability of corporate data. It provides evidence that SFD’s practices, policies and procedures meet international requirements.”
SFD Information Technology Director Dr. Abdullah bin Fayez Algarni, “The ISO 27001 international standard provides a framework to manage the security of our information assets. Certification provides evidence the SFD meets international best practice.”
The certification was issued following independent expert assessment by Resource Company Inspections Canada Incorporated (RICI), accredited by the International Accreditation Service (IAS), and is documented in the International Accreditation Forum (IAF) database.
