Riyadh, October 28.2021:
Sultan bin Abdulrahman Al-Marshad, CEO of the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD), today received at his office in Riyadh Stephen Grove, the Governor of the National Development Fund (NDF) and his accompanying delegation.
NDF’s Governor and delegation’s visit comprised an overview on the role SFD plays in helping the world’s less privileged communities through providing their governments with loans and grants for developmental projects; in addition to a guided tour inside SFD headquarters including an exhibition of SFD’s most prominent development projects and programs around the world.
NDF Governor listened to a presentation on SFD’s policies, initiatives, achievements and contributions accomplished over the past 47 years. He praised the role played by SFD as the development arm of the Kingdom.
SFD’s CEO also stressed on the fund’s significant role in providing support in cooperation with the international community to overcome the economic, social and environmental obstacles and challenges in the developing countries.
SFD is one of the most prominent entities in providing sustainable development assistance. Since its establishment in 1975, SFD has supported more than 694 projects in 84 countries around the world. SFD seeks to achieve the stability and prosperity in the developing countries.
The Governor’s visit to SFD is part of a series of visits the National Development Fund organizes in cooperation with its affiliated development funds and banks to boost their performance to achieve the goals and development priorities, as well as the economic needs, in line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
